The Douglas Marine mooring belt is a patented mooring solution designed to replace traditional mooring chains while providing improved elasticity and reduced weight.
Unlike conventional chains, the belt does not rust and therefore prevents corrosion marks from being transferred onto the vessel. Its flexible construction also reduces the risk of gelcoat damage in the event of accidental impact against the hull.
The highly elastic material absorbs dynamic mooring loads caused by waves, swell and vessel movement, helping to improve mooring comfort and reduce stress on fittings and dock hardware.
